The Working German Shepherd is our passion, and breeding them we hold as a privilege.

Our kennel is an active member of the Alaska Schutzhund Club, and we personally train all of our dogs to achieve their titles. The kennel is relatively young, but we don't let that stop us from fully investing ourselves into quality bloodlines that will perform in a variety of avenues, whether that be Schutzhund, Search & Rescue, Personal Protection, Family Pets, or Loyal Friends.

At our kennel we invest a considerable amount of time and effort into breeding, raising, and training German Shepherd Dogs. Our facility is located among the vast mountain ranges of south-central Alaska. We have the pleasure and privilege of raising German Shepherd Dogs for the sport of Schutzhund and the protection of our home.

My husband and I run the kennel, with the ultimate goal of raising dogs from Working Bloodlines that have good hips, excellent structure, and rock solid temperaments. We train our working German Shepherds in the sport of Schutzhund to become skilled in the fields of obedience, tracking, and protection. We are a current member of the Alaska Schutzhund Club and training sessions are held in Anchorage or the Mat-Su valley.

At our kennel we raise dogs that come from established working lines and can aid in strengthening the German Shepherds bloodlines, not diminishing it. We do not breed for a country specific pedigree (e.g. DDR, West German, Czech). Instead we carefully plan our breedings based upon a good temperament and drive match between the sire and dam.
We take great pride personally training our own dogs. If you are looking for a puppy or young dog please check out our upcoming breedings.

Here at Vom Chugach Kennel we firmly believe in incorporating our dogs into every aspect of our lives. In the summer we take them rafting, hiking, biking, and exploring. When ski season hits, the dogs find themselves in the backcountry on the pristine snow covered mountains that we lovingly call our backyard. Our dogs are the most well-rounded outdoor enthusiasts you will probably every meet.

If we don't have what you are looking for we can always point you in the right direction, so don't hesitate to contact us for more information.
